What We Do

The Affiliated Network for Social Accountability (ANSA) Cambodia, known as localized advocacy and accountability NGO from a regional NGO network with based in Manila, Philippines and registered at Ministry of Interior on November 23, 2015, ANSA has envisioned a country where human rights and community welfare are respected and promoted. It has MISSION to coordinate and strengthen the citizen capacity in order to work constructively for enhancing accountability, transparency and sustainability in the use of public and natural resource for improving people’s life, rights and public service deliveries. ANSA Cambodia works to empower women, youth and other marginalized group of people by engaging all policy and decision makers and stakeholders to have constructive dialogues and intervenes for the promotion of human rights respect, freedom of expression, community welfare and poverty reduction. 

ANSA strives to promote public accountability and transparency in area of public service deliveries, natural resource management, education, health and social protection and other related issues of social-economic and political rights. Research and learning are additional and major tasks that ANSA has been undertaking in the last 3 years. Currently, ANSA has major funding from USAID through EWMI, DFAT through The Asia Foundation (TAF), WSSCC[1] through UNOPS, OXFAM Cambodia, USAID through Pact Cambodia Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung-South-East. ANSA is also a partner in the Resiliency Cambodia project, implemented through the Local Organizations – Movement Towards Self Reliance (LO-MTSR) activity sponsored by USAID which is implementing by Partners Global and Cloudburst Washington. 

ANSA has a current available budget at $112,247.32 in 2021 from the said source of funding with 7 staff members and three consultants who are well selected, trained and prepared to be involved in the project with experience in working with women, youth and marginalized group empowerment. They (The staff members) are from field of learning, innovation, media, research, social accountability, advocacy, good governance, and public policy monitoring. They have, at least between 3-15 years experiences in the field. ANSA’s Executive Director is a prominent advocate and policy and governance analyst with more than 15 years of experience.
